Interested in Becoming a Head Coach or Assistant Coach?
Vista American Little League is looking for parents that may be interested in supporting Little League as a Head Coach or Assistant Coach. This is an opportunity to not only support Little League baseball, but to work with young people and provide them with a positive influence and activity. No experience is necessary. Training and mentoring will be supplied.
VALL is an all volunteer organization that needs your help to ensure the kids of our community are provided a healthy, safe, and fun experience to build baseball and life skills through Little League baseball. We couldn't do it without amazing volunteers like you.

VALL Follows the CDC Heads Up Concussion Program
As a Vista American Little League Manager or Coach, you are required to take the CDC's course on concussion prevention and recognition. This is a free course from the CDC found here.
Please provide a copy of your certificate of completion to the Safety Officer, Board Member on Duty, or any Board Member prior to your first scheduled practice or game, whichever comes first.

Rules & Regulations Regarding Helmets with C-Flaps
Q: Can a parent add a chin flap or "c-flap" to their child's helmet for safety?
A: No. Adding a c-flap to a helmet not specifically designed to have a c-flap voids its NOCSAE safety certification. However, there are c-flap equipped helmets they can purchase that meet little league safety requirements. As c-flap helmets are relatively new to Little League, the league and helmet manufacturers are still solidifying the regulations.

Little League Baseball Bat Standards
With the implementation of the USA Baseball Bat standards, here is the official Little League resource page to answer all your questions.
In short, all bats in Little League must have the USA Bat logo to be legal, with the exception of T-Ball bats used only with approved T-Balls. In this case only, a USA Bat sticker can be applied to the bat to make it legal. There are no other exceptions.
Please also review the list of decertified bats and alert your players' parents to steer clear of these when purchasing - especially when purchasing used gear.
Need Ideas for Practice Drills?
In the age of YouTube, there are some really great tutorials and instructional videos out there from fellow coaches that will get you off to a good start and keep the kids having fun and motivated to learn. Just to get you started, here are some great drills you might consider. But poke around and find what works best for your team. No two teams over the seasons will be the same and you'll be challenged to adapt.
